[FileMaker] Calculation field: Do not store calculation result
在設計 Calculation Field 時，可以選擇這個 Calculation Field 是儲存第一筆資料或是每次需要時重新計算。 什麼意思？ 舉個例子，可能比較容易理解，假如我們用 Get (CurrentDate) 設計了一個 今天日期 的 Calculation Field 放在主控面板 Menu ，像下圖右上角的日期 2016/9/29 設計方法不難，利用一個 Calculation Filed，再加上函數 Get (CurrentDate) 即可完成設定。 需要特別注意的地方，有兩個： 左下角 Calculation result is: “Date“，注意不要選錯了。 另外是這篇文章的重點，點選 Storage Option，勾選儲存設定： Do not store calculation result — recalculate when needed 這樣之後每次進到主控面板 Menu，右上角的日期才會「自動更新」為當天日期。（否則這欄位會記錄第一次存取的日期而不更新。）

FileMaker Pro Advanced 進階版比 FileMaker Pro 多出的功能
開發專案的過程會慢慢地接觸到一些功能，在 FileMaker Pro Advanced 上有，但在 FileMaker Pro 上面沒有的，這些功能有的話會對進階的開發有更進一步的幫助，比如更方便、檢查功能等等。 目前發現在 FileMaker Pro Advanced 有，但在 FileMaker Pro 上面沒有的功能，順手做個記錄： Data Viewer 像「餐巾紙」一樣方便的 Data Viewer。在這邊測試自己的想法是否能達成目標，也可以保留未完成的計算式。 參考文章： [FileMaker] Data Viewer 介紹+取代方案（當你還沒有買 FileMaker Advanced 的時候） Script Debugger 不執行全部程式碼的情況下，預先看到程式碼一行一行被執行的過程，這個功能讓開發者能仔細檢查所寫的程式碼是否有問題。 Copy Field 若要複製某個 Table 表單裡面的 Field 欄位「格式」至不同的 Table 表單，須在FileMaker Pro Advanced 裡才能做到。（這個功能在製作 Housekeeping Fields 時很好用，沒有 Advanced 的情況下只能一個一個慢慢建立，相較頗為耗時。） 補充說明，複製欄位「格式」的時候，包括欄位名稱、欄位類型，以及欄位的計算方式都會被複製到目標 Table 表單中，但是若是欄位的計算式裡面含有非目標 Table 表單的欄位，將會被 /* […]

[FileMaker] Beginner 初學者及 Intermediate 中階開發者，有什麼差別？
FileMaker Beginner or Intermediate Developer，也就是 FileMaker 的「初學者」跟「中階開發者」有什麼差別？該如何區分？ 剛開始學 FileMaker 的人，是所謂的 Beginner 初學者，要進階到 Intermediate 中階開發者，需要更熟悉 FileMaker，但「熟悉」什麼呢？ 其實很難直接區分初學者跟中階開發者，不過資深的 FileMaker 開發者 John Mark Osborne 提供了一個方法，Intermediate 中階開發者應該要熟悉四種 Mode 模式： “Browse Mode” “Find Mode” “Layout Mode” “Preview Mode” About FileMaker Pro modes 換句話說，其實這個問題，也等於是倒推著問：「初學者進階到中間開發者，要具備什麼能力？」 由此我們知道，若是熟悉以上這四種模式，能夠再開發專案時再這四種模式中自由切換運用，基本可以說是中階開發者了。
